Our client had a tired and crumbing patio made from blue engineering bricks. The grout was long gone, and the gaps were filled with soil, grass and weeds. The biggest job was to lift all of these bricks, clean, sort, and re-lay them on a level base to create a patio area of more usable proportions. In addition we installed brick drainage surrounds, a gravel path with brick edging, new aluminium downpipes, and reused a great deal of waste left over from a recent extension to provide a solid sub-base before blinding with finer aggregates, and laying surface dressings on top. We also built a shiplap fence using offcuts from the extension to hide two air source heat pumps, and a fitted gate to add security. Other smaller jobs included installing Ring security cameras and an electric sun canopy, fixing a leaking shower enclosure, and waterproofing a raised bed in the conservatory that was causing the plaster to blow.
